HP Compaq Presario CQ61

I always prefer to had a Desktop than having a laptop. Using a desktop with its standard Monitor, Mouse and keyboard make me feel much more prolific IT evangelist due to desktop's versatility in terms of upgrading. However, I was currently share a room with my colleagues here in middle east and I dont have enough space for a standard desktop so I decided to purchase a laptop and I chose Compaq Presario CQ61 due to its cheap price, keyboard with numeric panel and its wide LCD.

The Compaq Presario CQ61 is the most affordable 15.6” widescreen (1366 x 768) LCD notebook released alongside Windows 7. It utilizes an AMD Athlon II Dual-Core M320 Processor (2.2GHz), 4GB of DDR2 RAM, and a 250GB SATA hard-disc drive. Its features include a 5-I-1 media card reader, a long-lasting 6-cell Lithium-ion battery (3 hours), a DVD burner, 802.11b/g WLAN connectivity, including built-in Altec Lansing speakers and even an optional ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics card.

of course the laptop won’t be winning any beauty pageants, but it’s a pretty nice score for the truly cash-strapped person who needs a full-fledged laptop on the cheap without all the netbook compromises.
